Symptoms of COVID-19

Symptoms of COVID-19

COVID-19 is a health condition caused by a coronavirus. The virus (officially named SARS-CoV-2) is a family of viruses that can cause respiratory illness in humans. Coronavirus has been responsible for over 200 million infections globally. It has caused over 4.5 million deaths. The United States have the world's highest Covid-19 death toll.

Symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) in persons over 18 can include:

·         A dry cough; new and continuous

·         Fever [high temperature] or shivering chills

·         Feeling very tired, exhausted or fatigued

·         Shortness of breath

·         A new loss of taste or smell

·         Body aches or muscle pains

·         Headache or mild migraine

·         Congestion or rhinorrhea [runny nose]

·         Sore throat

·         Nausea or vomiting

·         Diarrhea

Most symptoms develop around two to five days. These symptoms may however not show until day 14. Covid-19 can be contracted from newly infected persons.

Persons with coronavirus may have some, all, or none of the symptoms listed above.

For instance, fever is listed as the most common symptom of coronavirus disease. However, in a study dated July, 2020: 213 people with mild disease were examined, the study revealed that only 11.6 percent of the 213 covid-19 patients had experienced fever.

Treatment and management of COVID-19

If your Covid-19 test returned positive, do not fret. Covid-19 can be treated. Treatments are available. It will reduce your chances of being seriously ill, hospitalized or dying from the disease.

Medications to treat coronavirus disease must be prescribed by a health officer. Treatment must begin immediately diagnosis is confirmed. Find out from your healthcare provider if you're eligible for Covid-19 treatment even if your symptoms are not severe.

COVID-19 Vaccines

Coronavirus vaccines available in the United States are effective and safe. They are clinically proven to protect people from getting severely ill, being hospitalized, and dying from the disease. As it is the case with other disease vaccines, you are protected best from SARS-CoV-2 when you stay up to date with the vaccines recommended by your healthcare provider.

Three COVID-19 vaccines are approved or authorized by the government of United States to prevent COVID-19.

·         Pfizer-BioNTech

·         Moderna

·         Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen (J&J/Janssen)

DON’T LOSE YOUR PEACE

DON’T LOSE YOUR PEACE

Let’s assume you’re on transit. You’re in a passenger bus heading to Europe. That’s a joke! You can’t drive from Africa to Europe. Barring other conditions -you may not be able to drive all the way. Nearly all the continents are separated by large bodies of water. So?

So! :) :) :)

Please disregard the lines above. This article is not about Africa, Europe, ocean etc.

I am here to write about a young believer who falls into the hands of some lunatics; trigger-happy terrorists. The terrorists were determined to kill every one passenger in the bus. Why? They wouldn’t repeat after the lunatics - who were pointing guns to the travelers - some statements from one “holy” book. The armed guys want their new victims to “change” their faith by certain words they were compelled to speak.

When the vehicle the boy was transiting in was forced to a screeching halt by this bunch of dangerous extremists. The driver, failing to discern the moment appropriately, screamed to his passengers ``Ole,ole”. The word “ole” translates to ‘thief’.

Noise, shout, wail, cry was the new rhythm in the bus. If it was possible to disappear, melt or hide behind a needle; the bus would be empty just about time the terrorists got close.

Give all you have [your money, your jewelries] or risk losing everything [including travelers’ lives].

The passengers waited to hear this from the armed guys. But they were dismayed to hear the god of a popular faith being hailed, instead. The extremists hail the name of their god with a shout; the god of a popular faith in the world today. They hail the name two, three, four times.

Some of those traveling in the bus who were of the same faith with these guys, have finally met their “leaders” in the faith. :) :) If the terrorists use the same “holy” book as the others - then, one group should no longer read the book when the weather is too hot. The implication as we’ve seen in the new world order is weighty.

It would seem that the non extreme members of “this particular faith” have the rest of their days on earth to deal with false allegiance, forced cohabitation, misrepresentation and confusion.

Back to the matter: The bandit who had just forced a passengers’ bus to a halt; meant business. “You fail to hail the name of our god, we pull the trigger on your head” PHOA! Remember the slang? ‘No time to check time’

I could imagine two or three people struggling to control their bladder. They WEE on themselves as they march [at the extremists’ command] in a single file into the bush.

Show me a Christian who has never pictured one of these moments. A gun pointed to their head: Followed by a threat to denounce their Christian faith.

If you find yourself in such a situation, are you going to shiver; and simply go with the flow. I hear someone say they would do what needs to be done to escape such a quagmire.

God forbid that it happened to you. Right there in your mind; you’ve probably wished at one time that if you ever find yourself in such an entanglement - and you know that merely claiming allegiance would suffice to secure your freedom. You’ve prayed before now that as you say or do what the terrorists command; you’re immediately set free. You’re not about to waste anybody’s time...

To say or do what is commanded is not your problem. Or could never be an issue. The problem is, terrorists cannot be trusted. And, you know it! No one partnering with the devil gets a fair share.

About the young believer; he took a bullet to the head! The young chap held on to his Christian faith till the end. The boy’s faith was tested and found to be true.

The discussion around [denunciation, allegiance or forced conversion of faith-to-faith] is long underway. When I hail the name of a god especially under false pretense: Have I, under such a circumstance, done something wrong. Should I begin to lose my peace [even] now; seeing that my Christian faith has not really been tested yet, in a similar context.

This would not happen. But, for the sake of this write-up, if you find yourself in such a situation, it seems that the direction of your pendulum, with regards to your decision, is foreknown. Except guns were not involved.

In 2nd kings 5, Namaan, coming out of a plight, had seen the God of Elisah manifested in his life. Namaan said to prophet Elisah; from this moment, there’s one God worthy of worship, honor, adoration and praise - The God of Israel. He was saying: I believe in God…  And in Him I rejoice: To Him my praise is given forever. I shall live for Him till the end.

Then Namaan remembered something. Please read verse 18 of 2nd kings. I could see Namaan in deep sorrow, as he remembered that there would be moments he might not be able to help himself. The helpless him might be dragged to bow before a lesser god soon.

I could see Namaan swear to Elisah, that he would never deliberately bow before ‘god Rimmon’. He may have done it before, but not anymore.

So sad that Namaan who doesn’t want to be involved in anything contrary to serving the one true God. The God of Israel. The God he had come to believe; may find himself at gun point with threats to his life.

Namaan’s state was not even as bad!

Namaan’s situation was: He had a master who served a lesser god.

Namaan was his master’s right hand. The master leaned on him at the temple of god Rimmon every time a sacrifice was to be made to the goddess.

Namaan, at this point, knew better. Disinterested in serving other gods, he asked Elisah if he would be judged under such a circumstance. Namaan was saying to Elisah, I promise you that when I bow before god Rimmon it won’t be from my heart. It won’t be because I want to… it would solely be on the premise that I have to. “Condition wan make my crayfish bend”

A Christian who believes that members of the other popular faith do not worship the same God. And he/she is convicted of this, has not judged the matter wrongly. When he/she is forced to denounce their true faith and swear allegiance to the faith of their captors at gunpoint, they are just as helpless and hapless.

Do you know what Elisah said to Namaan: Go in peace! 2nd kings 5:19. In other words, when this happens - keep your peace.

When Apostle Paul returned to Jerusalem in Act 21; something of notice happened. Before this time, Paul had had a successful ministry outside Jerusalem. The God’s servant did the Lord’s work amongst the gentiles so well. Paul, in company of others, preached the gospel nonstop to non Jews and other Jews who lived outside Jerusalem. He performed signs and wonders too.

Today, the message that leads to salvation has been preached to all nations, tribes and tongues. The name Paul would never be forgotten. Himself and others brought salvation to the ends of the earth.

The one who is in Christ is a new creation. The bible says that old things have passed in the life of this person, all things have been made new.

Religious rites, tradition and old customs are no longer necessary in the scheme of things. Christ is the author and finisher of the Christian faith. Hebrews 12:2.

In other words, Christ is the beginning and the end of the salvation that’s come to man. Circumcision or not is now baseless. To offer sacrifice with the blood of an animal is needless; as a matter of fact, this could call to question the sincerity of your faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Let the one who engages in activities unrecognized by the New Testament’s bible tread with care.

It should not be Paul, after much revelation and insight into the death and resurrection of Christ - and all about the message of the Cross, it shouldn’t be Paul who would now go into the temple to observe one rite or the other. He has spoken against these things amongst the gentiles. Romans 3:20, Romans 8:2-8, Galatians 2:16 etc.

The satan we know would not have allowed this to slide. That Paul would shave his head in quest to perform one purification rite. And the enemy would not ask Paul in his mind if he truly believed that we are justified, simply, by our faith in Christ. That Satan only folded his arms and watched this played out - may not be true. But pause! To observe the words Apostle Paul had written in many of his books in the bible; to observe carefully is to also note that the Paul we know in the Holy book would never have wished for ACT 21:23 to happen.

James, in company of elders, compelled Paul to observe a tradition that was no longer necessary.  Act 21:23. Paul knew such purification rites and other activities powered by the Law of Moses were no longer needed. Romans 3:20, Romans 8:2-8, Galatians 2:16. God's servant simply allowed that moment to pass.

Go in peace Brothers and Sisters. The words of Elisah.

Christ be magnified

To Whom It May Concern.

I have observed some things about your “religion”. Ironically, “these things” as bulleted below [in the course of this write up] are consistent with thousands of other “spiritual” or religious platforms.

Listen, I just want to hold a conversation with you. I will choose my words carefully. I promise! Please let’s reason together. ‘Did you just agree to us reasoning together?” Fantastic, let’s shoot!

The major things your religion, [or should I call it platform or gathering of like-minds] – Note: I include the words in the brackets specifically for the sake of those who usually say ‘Listen, we are not a religion’.

Here’s the gist: For your “spiritual platform” to keep you settled in the “new truth” that’s been presented to you. Hold-on one minute! This is what I am saying. There’s a way your “religion” is structured to make you see Christianity as your major contender.

To keep you settled in your “new truth” [I mean in your new religion] the first assignment before the founders at the time was to block out the Bible.

How? Let’s tell them that the Bible is manipulated, doctored, and fingered.

Interestingly, the Holy Book of Christ has foresaw this era. It has written in it of many who would arise in the last days saying ‘this’ is the real truth.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God” 1st John 4:1-3 NKJV

So?

In fairness to them, most of these other platforms or gathering of like-minds [speaking of religions not Christ-based] are comfortable mentioning Jesus. It’s saver for them to simply call Jesus one of the prophets.

Yes, it is saver! Reason being that not many people are buying the idea that God does not exit any longer. Or some other less popular religions that be like who is Jesus?

Now the above scripture has not really rocked the boat. Therefore, the letters in the verses may be welcomed by our friends.

Meanwhile, some Bible verses such as this “Jesus said to him ‘I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 NKJV. This scripture and many others are preferred to be ignored or explained away.

According to Wikipedia: There are some 4200 religions in the world today. Most of these other beliefs presented themselves as buildup of where notable prophets whose works, actions and activities are well captured in the Bible. Their founders see themselves as continuation. The “new” messengers of “God” who have brought the real truth.

This is it – if all these belief-systems are saying the churches are corrupt, the Pastors are this or that. If they are saying [something about Christianity] is faulty and wrong. And saying, “Come directly to God this is the “real truth”.

I often say “but which of YOU should we believe then?” since all of YOU are here with new belief that is not Christ concentrated.

If Christianity is wrong. God cannot fight what is wrong with thousands of other Messengers, religious entities or spiritual bodies at the rise of what He called wrong, manipulated or doctored. Speaking of era after the death of Christ (A.D) and arrival of ‘self-acclaimed’ messengers and religions.

God is not a man who [helplessly] as it seemed with the influx of many religious or spiritual channels – would introduce thousands of new beliefs [A.D] to get people off Christ.

The enemy obviously would devise many schemes, means and channels to attack what is right.

I expect the enemy to be restless and that’s exactly what he is doing.

It’s okay to think it shouldn’t be a thing of concern to anyone as per how people have chosen to approach God.

First off, the Bible says God is not an author of confusion... 1st Cor. 14:33

He has chosen us in Him “before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will”

By Jesus Christ Friends, Jesus Christ! Read Ephesian 1:4-5

But what can I say…? The Bible is doctored right?

Even when the Holy Bible of Christ says “All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction IN RIGHTEOUSNESS…” 2nd Tim. 3:16 NKJV.

I put ‘in righteousness’ in upper case to emphasize the fact that the Bible mentioning “All scripture” by no means include your new spiritual book. Here’s the deal, you have to accept the Bible in its totality. Don’t be comfortable with some scriptures because it fans the flame of your new belief and proceed to say others are doctored – especially when the letters in those particular verses rock the boat.

2nd Cor. 5:21 “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God in HIM”. The HIM was referring to Jesus Christ. Kindly read the whole chapter.

Basically, the ALL SCRIPTURE in 2nd Tim. 3:16 is pointing to those given for instruction IN CHRIST.

THE BIBLE!

Revelation 22:18-19 reads “And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this book”

How can something that represent God be fingered or manipulated. Let’s be real here. Except we are saying the Bible is not of God and neither is it from God.

Well, moving on. I never knew the enemy could be so intelligent. The Bible says he is crafty.

He carefully creates platforms including the very popular one; structured to keep you focus on God and intelligently shift you from what actually connects you with God.

Looking onto a building is not same as accessing the house having been shown where the door is. The entrance!

The enemy of mankind obviously would continue to devise different means and schemes to get people off the core.

He knew that the option of pushing the “there is no God” narrative may not sell to a large extent.

Okay

He introduced other means.

This time:

Let’s tell them there is God [similar to saying, yes you can have the bank check. The enemy knew that so long the bank check remains unsigned it is useless].

So, the enemy says take the bank check, then carefully and intelligently take you off the main core. He knows as long as the bank check remains unsigned it is useless.

Without Christ – I say this respectively Friends, your bank check so to speak is useless.

The scripture says “For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” 1st Timothy 2:5

Are you a Christian? Let me tell you major things that are common in the teachings of other belief systems.

I have had long interaction with three separate spiritual bodies that are not Christ-centered [including the very popular one]

·         Their members have been thought to believe that Jesus Christ is one of the prophets/messengers of God. They vehemently oppose the fact that Jesus Christ came to the world to die for our sins and they have serious issue believing that God raised Jesus on the third day. They mostly counter the narrative by implying that Jesus Christ was killed by the people for not accepting the truth sent of God through Him.

·         They think you should not mention Jesus Christ when you pray or do anything similar. They’d be like why should you even call that name. They’d say put yourself in this picture: Are you going to be pleased to hear someone call your Last name (Surname), blah blah. Why should you call Jesus Christ, why say in the name of Jesus? He was a prophet. He is not the Almighty God. On and on and on…

·         They also don’t think you should plead the blood of Jesus. Why should you say “blood of Jesus”? Don’t mention “Blood of Jesus”. Why are you calling out the blood of a prophet?

·         They have a completely different explanation of the Holy Spirit.

Now you being a Christian; you’d think it is strange, right? considering the fact that in the above is where Power, Truth and Salvation domicile.

The Bible says we are justified by faith. “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” Romans 10:9

Act 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”

Mark 16:17 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; IN MY NAME shall they cast out devils…” Emphasis mine!

Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb….”  Note: Jesus Christ been the lamb

Ephesian 2:13 “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the BLOOD OF CHRIST”

And Ephesian 1:13 confirms the fact that we are sealed with the Holy. Other scriptures in the Bible refer the Holy Spirit as one who guarantees our inheritance in Christ.

Summarily, Christians are justified by faith [the belief that Christ died for our sins and that God raised Him from the dead.

We proclaim our authority when Christians decree & declare by mentioning the name of Jesus Christ Mark 16:17

And the blood of Jesus being the atoning sacrifice that made our reconciliation with God possible. When Christians say blood of Jesus; note that we are pulling on what gave us access to God.

Finally, the Holy Spirit is God in us.  Instead, the other platforms prefer to say “the Spirit in Man or the Spirit of Man”.

Little did members of these spiritual groups – that are not Jesus Christ focused – little did they know that the points bulleted above are where the core power, truth and salvation lie for every Christian.

Now one wonders:

Why is it that the teachings [making reference to the Book attached to your new belief and spirituality] have unconsciously programmed their followers against the things highlighted above.

More worrisome, is seeing their followers not realizing or recognizing these things to be the CORE that get the “bank check” signed for every Christian.

Let’s talk about these things please!

Boluwatife Adekunle.

Christ be magnified

In our world today - There are people who are not in Christ.

"Do you think I am a man that will not get things right the first time?" -Quote
This could be a powerful insight.
Please read along; you may want to answer the two questions inputted in this text.
Records show that there are thousands of other belief systems outside Christ -including the very popular one you know or you probably practice.
I have found that most of these other faiths -whilst some outrightly take Jesus Christ out of the picture and by extension comfortable with the few followers they have - others are careful to acknowledge Jesus but would rather convince their followers not to make Him the center point.
Four things are common with the pioneers of most of these belief systems that are outside Christ [Christianity] -including the popular one.
1. They believe Jesus was a messenger or a prophet as such; and believe the comforter [Spirit of Truth] which Jesus mentioned to come after He had gone is now the founder or Leader or Pioneer of their new faith.
2. Some belief systems completely trash the Bible [they will tell you; put that 'thing' away, these ones only have few followers and are comfortable. The popular ones however -including the very popular one - are careful to acknowledge the Holy Bible but believe along with their followers that the Bible is doctored, manipulated and inconsistent.
3. They believe Christians magnify Jesus over God.
4. They do not believe Jesus died for us and that He never rose up the third day.
They believe it is the people that killed Jesus. Let me note quickly that, it is not W-E [the people] that killed Jesus; it is W-ILL [the agenda of God] that allowed Him to die to pay the price for the SIN that once separated us from the Father. Gal. 1:4
Notably, there is a class of people that are indifferent in all 'this'. But are offended by the hypocrisy of some individuals who claim to be in Christ. They feel something is not right with the way the church system is ran. Actually, they don't just care.
Two questions:
1. Do you agree that the Bible is a Holy Book of God?
If yes to question 1
2. Do you think that God would allow His book to carry false or manipulated writings?
My conclusion:
God is not a man that wouldn't get things right the first time.
Whatever scripture you read in the Bible that is not clear -has a clearer version in subsequent books/chapters in the same Bible. You only need to read through [holistically] and gain better understanding.
Have the right perspective and align your motive.
All the books in the old testaments as found in the Bible were written by the early prophets that came before Christ. And they all pointed to the coming of Jesus. They prepared the way for Jesus Christ.
The new testament reminds us of who we are now 'in Christ' and how to walk in our victory.
Jesus on the cross of Calvary said "IT IS FINISHED"
This statement is what confirms our salvation.
Jesus says "Whoever calls unto my name shall be saved"
Fact
-------
The Bible confirmed that the comforter [Spirit of Truth] "shall be IN US" -meaning inside us. John 14: 17
Jesus was referring to the Holy Spirit. Eph 1:13
There are individuals who write "supposedly" autobiographies on behalf of people HOWEVER before the books can be published [because it is autobiography not biography] they must be read [or read to], corrected and approved by the person on whose names the books are written.
God cannot get it wrong with His first book; The Holy Bible.
Friends; in this same book -It is written in 1st Timothy 2:5
"For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus."
Let's have a conversation please!
I honestly feel [I should have said common sense, but I don't want to offend your sensitivity] that God is not a man who wouldn't get things right the first time.
"But autobiographies can be upgraded" I hear someone say
Remember Jesus said IT IS FINISHED.

NO TITLE YET, I’D RATHER CHOOSE THAT YOU READ IT AND THEN DISCOVER THE TITLE WHICH IS ALREADY BURIED INSIDE THE WRITEUP

I remember a season in my life when write-ups from James Altucher, the man who recently released a book he titled ‘Reinvent yourself’. His articles were simply all I needed at the time to keep my heart and mind together. It so happened that the write-ups from this aforementioned name were mostly about his life experience and personal struggles. It was something I needed to read for encouragement at the time.

What I found amusing about my contact with James’ articles was the fact that I still am unable to put a link to how I came across one of his write-ups that fateful day –that piece from him I got to read for the first time which would later lead me to his blog.

James Altucher wasn’t recommended to me, neither was I surfing the net for something that relates to this individual’s life experience and the way he writes, but by happenstance I stumbled upon ‘him’ [referring to one of his articles] and thereafter I couldn’t stop reading his piece for a long time.

“Okay okay… I got that, so why are you saying this Writer?”  I might have just read someone’s mind right now, isn’t it? Smiles

An individual on twitter shared an interesting experience he had with someone, so I thought I would bring the story here to help that man or woman to who pieces such as this would naturally inspire, encourage and motivate. Here we go…

This fellow shared an experience he had with a stranger who had solicited for a financial help of N5, 000. And it so happened that the request came at a time he was paid a salary. According to how he narrated the story in a series of tweets, the Good Samaritan then wired, deliberately though, instead of the N5, 000 he requested for, a total of N15, 000.

Then, having intentionally done so for the purpose of what he called integrity test, he proceeded to chat him up explaining that he had mistakenly transferred N15, 000 to his bank account.

He asked the stranger to send back the difference of N10, 000 that wasn’t intended for him. The good thing, however, was that the stranger did send back the money. This act got his helper pleased and in the end the stranger not only got the N5, 000 he was in need of but a total of N20, 000 from his helper who immediately initiated another transfer of N15, 000 for passing integrity test.
You see readers, these things are true. Let me tell you a personal encounter…

Few months ago, I introduced a product that I sell to a friend of my Dad. I can’t say if he really had interest in the product on the first day I marketed it to him; you know a number of reasons may have propelled him to collect the product from me. Maybe to support me, encourage me or could out-rightly be for the love of a father to son relationship.

He’d ask for the price anyways and expectedly I gave him a figure, he was comfortable with how much I was selling, not surprising though as I have being fair with my selling price as testified by many.

Upon collecting it, I watched him open the back-seat door of his car as he proceeded to drop the product on the seat inside his car. I wasn’t expecting to be paid on the spot, so I moved on to other things.

The following day, my brother and I met somewhere in town, then he was reminded of –by the sight of me –the money he was meant to give me. The money my Dad’s friend had dropped with him to pass it on to me for the product he had purchased from me just a day before.

However, I realized he had paid me beyond the price I told him to pay for the product. I thought it might have been an error of overpayment. After-all, the person I was dealing with is indirectly a Dad to me [as it were]. “This shouldn’t be an issue, I could take the extra cash and just be fine” –a thought said.

And guess what? The extra cash was just what I needed to cover my transportation cost to an important meeting on the day. “But I can’t just take this extra cash, do what I needed to do and acted as if nothing happened, that may not be right” –another thought said. So, I agreed within me that the latter thought was right.

That been the case, I thought I would go over to his place and hand him the extra cash, after-all, he may eventually say “oh it was an error but it’s all good, you could take the cash” that way I would have satisfied my conscience and still be able to get to the meeting that was on my mind if I was gifted the extra money which ultimately would cover my transportation cost.

So I did just that, I knocked on his door, by the time he appeared at the door to see who was at his entrance, I realized –from the mood I saw –that he was in the middle of sleep. Without wasting time, I narrated how he had overpaid me for the product I sold to him the day before.

But unlike what I thought may happen, he collected the extra cash –appreciated me and watched me took my leave as he went back inside to probably climb back on the bed to pick up from where he stopped.

As I departed from his doorstep, I remembered to have a few thoughts dropped on me… Now, I want you to imagine the kind of mockery thoughts you think the enemies may smash one’s heart with in situations such as the one that had just transpired [as narrated]. The one I remembered was… “Now, let me see how you would get to your all important meeting Mr. Nice Guy”…

Well, I wasn’t really bothered; my intention was to return the money as it was the right thing to do, not because I thought he would eventually let me have the funds. So I was fulfilled with my action.

The meeting I was meant to attend on the day didn’t suffer due to this; after-all I was able to make the meeting. But something happened later that day: Yet again, I bombed into my brother who again told me that an amount was handed to him to pass it over to me. What happened was the man I had returned the money to; had come around to look for me, so when he couldn’t find me; he saw my brother and gave him money to give to me as gift.

Guess what? The money he gave as gift was now 150% surplus of what I had returned to him earlier. And that’s not even where I am going; the high point of the story is that this respected individual has since bought tens of thousands of my product to this day. It is amazing to discover that sometimes he deliberately place order even when he doesn’t have to, most times –as it seems –he would call to place order when, I assume, he realizes that it has been couple of days since his last purchase. Many times he would buy and then look for people to resell.

That I am still in business today, selling that same product is because I have him as a regular customer. Kostorma daa’da nii… I am grateful to God and to him.

Remember the story I shared earlier involving the individual who sent a stranger N20, 000? His story didn’t end there.

This fellow came to twitter another day to discuss something different which had happened on his way to a refreshment center. According to him, he had some N5, 000 with him which he wasn’t going to use for anything serious, so he thought he would treat himself to a nice outing [you know, just ‘siddon for table’] ‘balance well’ and then devour something sumptuous and delicious.

However on his way [seated in a cab] he saw a woman, who appeared to be in her early 40s, she had just fallen from a motorcycle straight inside a gutter. She didn’t just land by herself in the ditch; but she had with her some crates of eggs.

He said in his tweets that, the incident left him in a sorry state –seeing that the woman wasn’t even bothered by her injuries but was crying for her damaged eggs. So, this individual who shared this story said that he came down from the cab, proceeded to ask for the total cost for the crates. N8, 000 she said…

The guy said, “Imagine someone crying like a baby because of ordinary 8k?” Well, “that’s her own reality” he added.

From the N5, 000 with him, he immediately handed N4, 000 to her and also asked if she has a bank account. Yes, she responded…

Getting that response, he directed the woman to head to a nearby clinic to treat her injuries and promised to send some money to her in the morning. The woman, as narrated in the story, went on her knees, but the guy interjected the process saying there wasn’t need for it.

The following morning he did as promised… he sent a token which according to him was good enough to settle her treatment bill and also sort her crates of eggs. He noted that the woman didn’t have his number and he never bothered to take hers.

But something happened sometimes later, the woman saw him again on the Island [Lagos Island]… He said, there had been a shout of “brother, brother, brother” behind him, but Lagos as you know it, is a busy place… the woman was trying to catch up with him as he opined to have been walking fast on the day. Just when he looked back, the woman –now inches away from him –said “ehn ehn, you’re the one”

Not remembering the woman, he responded … “the one who did what Ma?”

The woman proceeded to narrate the story. He saw that it is a good thing to be nice and kind, saying he couldn’t even remember the whole incidence anymore. The woman, however, insisted that he drops his number this time… He did.

The following day, she called him; he said the phone conversation lasted for a while.

Now there’s a twist to the whole story. According to what he wrote in the tweets, he found out that this woman has in her possession something he had needed for years. Interestingly, she doesn’t even know its worth or how to convert it to money.

The guy who shared this story further said that, that particular thing [he didn’t give much details on what it is] but says “is capable of making us both become relevant in a very short while” –in his own words.

Now guess what? “She is willing to let go of it, the guy said, I mean she is willing to hand it over to me patapata”.

He was quick to include in his tweet that, though he was happy by her decision, he’d made her understand that it still remain hers. That; he would help her to manage it and overtime would then place himself on salary. He ended the story with a promise to keep his followers up-to-date with any development regarding the process they’ve already kick started.

He said and I quote… “I did what I did with no single; I mean no iota of expecting anything in return. I mean I couldn’t even recognize her if I’d seen her again. But look at how giving works. Look at how that very small act of kindness is about to open a very mighty door, guys keep doing good”

Prince of Nigeria

Prince of Nigeria

As compared to other nations of the world where monarch systems are highly regarded –England, Wales, the Arab world etc. Nigeria, a country in West Africa known for rich cultural events and lifestyle is oftentimes assumed, especially by Non-Africans, to be on the same pedestal with other countries where “Throne-rulers” their kings and queens command nationwide authority and appeal.

As I write to uncover the truth regarding the keyword in question, which is “Prince of Nigeria”, below are simple facts you need to know. As you read this – however – do note at the back of your mind that Nigeria is not a single monarch land (Or a one-king/one-queen country if it could be written that way) therefore there cannot be a “Prince of Nigeria”. I should nonetheless acknowledge the existence of many Princes from various traditional domains across the country.

1.      Nigeria is a multi-cultural and diverse nation. It has more than 250 ethnic groups. The three largest ethnic groups, however, are Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa.
2.      The country is not governed by a monarchy system where king/queen determines the political direction of the land.
3.      Does it then means that Nigeria does not have kings and queens, or princes? No, the West African nation has multiple traditional rulers who are ranked according to the largeness of their kingdoms.
4.      Most regarded traditional rulers in Nigeria are, Sultan of Sokoto –Sokoto is located up-north of Nigeria and also Kano whose traditional ruler is accorded with the title of "Emir". Down south of Nigeria there is Oni of Ife. Ife is believed to be historic to the origin of one of the three largest ethnic groups in Nigeria which is Yoruba. This does means that the origin of Yoruba could be traced to Ile-Ife.

Moving on, other regarded rulers are Alaafin of Oyo - Ibadan is the capital of Oyo and it is the largest city in West Africa; second largest in Africa after Cairo, Egypt. Oba of Benin is the traditional ruler of Edo province in south-south Nigeria.

There are few other known traditional rulers and tones of other smaller rulers across the length and breadth of Nigeria.

Top-ranked traditional rulers in Nigeria command the following;
Political influence: They are able to influence the choice of political leaders within their regions. This is made possible by the number of their subjects and the great following they wield.

Politicians oftentimes recognize this and as a result pay homage to them during election seasons.

Wealth: Highly rated traditional rulers in Nigeria are placed on government payroll. In addition to that, they receive numerous financial gifts from highly placed Nigerians, these financial largess are often born out of honor and respect for “throne rulers” and sometimes rewards for title bestowment. The titles being said are kingdom generated; they are closely linked to the throne. These titles comes with glory and honor, as a result they are revere and greatly acknowledged by whosoever the king deems fit to bear the name. The choice of who bears what title by the king, more often than not, is influenced by the riches and estates commanded by prospective title holder.

Also, historical events had somewhat designed a structure that make it possible for occupants of certain thrones in the country to automatically be in control of strategic local resources [such as forest, land etc.].

In conclusion, there is no singular kingdom-ruler of Nigeria; therefore no one holds the singular honor of bearing the title of a “Prince of Nigeria”. The West African nation is a multi-ethnicity country with several traditional rulers spreading across the nation.

There is no Prince of Nigeria rather Princes in Nigeria.
